Below is a list of Money Smart Week WisconsinSM events. All efforts have been made to verify event information prior to posting to our web site, however, changes do occur. We encourage you to contact the event of your choice to verify dates, times, and registration fees (if any). You may build a list of events by searching any of the criteria below.
How to Use Calendar
At the top of the calendar, select month. Click on the single arrows to move one month ahead or back. Click on the double arrows to move two months ahead or back. Then click the date(s) you wish to search (click again to de-select a date.) You have the option to pick from the Category and City selections to help narrow your search results. Then click on Search Events.

2nd Annual Fox Cities Financial Makeover Challenge
The Fox Cities Financial Makeover Challenge is designed to help local families improve their financial situation. Individual coaches will help participants set goals and build strategies to help increase their savings, reduce their debt and reduce their expenses over a four month period beginning in December 2009.

Financial Boot Camp
Financial Boot Camp is a four class course that instructs in the basics of finance. Offered through the UW-Fox Valley Office of Continuing Education, students will learn the origins of money, how it flows through our financial system, and the basics of investing and personal finance. We will discuss how wealth is created, taxed, distributed during retirement, and finally transferred efficiently at death. Offered four Tuesdays, March 9, 16, 23, and 30.

After the Financial Fall - Rebuilding and Moving Forward
"After the Financial Fall" is a three class course that examines the causes and effects of the "Great Recession" of 2008/2009. Offered through the UW-Fox Valley Office of Continuing Education, students will examine the causes and effects of the recession, explore potential strategies for portfolio recovery, discuss the Madoff case and the reprecussions thereof, and learn techniques that, while not fool-proof, may assist a portfolio in a measured recovery.

Capital's Critters Kiddie Karnival
Kids learn the basic principles of earning, saving and making smart money choices at this free, fun carnival of educational games and activities like Pin the Tail on the Pig, Plinko, the Cash Cow Toss and more. Targeted for kids age 12 and younger and their parents. Everyone is welcome to attend!
